Elaine Zukowski

Elaine Zukowski’s work is an experimentation with materials and form. The recent body of work  explores the possibilities of stitching vintage beads and steel wire into lightweight three dimensional structures. The stitching pattern has been slowly developed over time and is based on lacemaking ideas in Fiber art such as tatting.

Inspired by modern art and minimalist sculpture, the artist seeks to present beads in a new and modern way.
