The Baltimore Jewelry Center is an independent educational nonprofit organization growing a vibrant creative community for the study and practice of metalworking for new and established artists in Baltimore.

The Baltimore Jewelry Center offers affordable and dedicated studio space for jewelers and metalsmiths. We offer classes, workshops, and bench rental as well as certificate tracks. Additionally, we offer business and marketing support to artists to help them create sustainable business plans and keep them living and working in Baltimore.

Since opening the Baltimore Jewelry Center, we have educated over 900 students in metalsmithing, provided studio access to over 150 artists, and exposed over 2,o00 patrons to art jewelry through exhibitions and free programming. In 2015, we completed a $600,000 capital campaign to complete the build-out of our brand new 3500 square foot studio with state-of-the-art ventilation, updated safety features, expanded teaching and bench rental space, and a gallery.

As a nonprofit, the Baltimore Jewelry Center is highly dependent on donations to operate. While we have two revenue streams, classes/workshops and studio space rental, donations from our community and foundations make our day to day work possible. Currently, the Baltimore Jewelry Center is raising funds to help support our outreach programming in FY2019.

Your donations will allow us to offer scholarships, work study, and residency opportunities to new and emerging artists, host free workshops and artist talks, implement kids and teens programming, and develop exhibitions in our gallery.

I hope you will consider making a tax deductible donation today to the Baltimore Jewelry Center to help us continue to bring art jewelry and metalsmithing educational opportunities to the Baltimore metro area.

Programming at the Baltimore Jewelry Center is made possible by the generous support of donors and the following foundations: the Windgate Charitable Foundation, the Maryland State Arts Council, the John and Robyn Horn Foundation, the Allegis Group Foundation, and the Stablein Family Foundation
