Hollow Concrete Techniques for Jewelry

Demitra Thomloudis | Friday - Sunday | July 14-16 | 9:30a - 4p

As makers we develop material language in different ways to best suit our individual
intentions. This workshop will explore how to create hollow lightweight objects in
concrete/cement, and execute these techniques within the format of jewelry.  Silicone
mold making, small-scale powder coating, resin and acrylic surface techniques will also
be covered. Research, process and ingenuity are key workshop themes and the aim is
to spark individual directions within these specific materials and to provoke inquiry
among the endless materials that exist. Metalworking skills are encouraged, but not required.

$525 (includes all materials)
