Architectural and Precision Fabrication

This class is perfect for the student who wants to explore construction and fabrication or the student who is inspired by architectural and industrial forms. The class will cover concepts regarding the translation of two-dimensional sketches into three-dimensional objects. Students will prototype techniques aimed at providing information for successful construction and create both samples and finished pieces. Soldering, sawing, filing, scoring and bending will all be looked at with a critical eye to help students craft with precision and confidence.

Prerequisites: Introduction to Metals + Jewelry or equivalent experience.
