2 Day Workshops:
Spoon Forging & Ice Cream Social | April Wood | Saturday & Sunday | August 2 & 3 | 9:30am - 4pm at the Station North Tool LibraryIn partnership with the Station North Tool Library, students will learn the basics of hammering metal stock, otherwise known as forging, to create a spoon. Different hammer blows, tapering, spreading, filing & finishing will be explored. Participants will then learn about making ice cream from a local ice cream maker & will test their new spoons on homemade ice cream! No experience necessary. This workshop takes place at the Station North Tool Library at 417 Oliver St.

1 Day Workshops:
Jewelry Redux | Jenn Parnell | Sunday | 9:30 - 4pm | August 10
Have you taken a jewelry class in the past but are feeling rusty? Want to brush up on some basic jewelry skills? This workshop is for you! In this one-day workshop, we will cover how to use basic jewelry tools and stations (jeweler’s saw, drill press, soldering torch, hand tools) as well as basic studio etiquette. We’ll also cover tricks for patinas and colors and quick and easy bench tricks. No experience necessary and all materials and lunch provided.
$150 + $25 materials fee
Pendant In A Day | Beth Pohlman | Sunday | 9:30- 4pm | August 17
This one-day workshop is geared for beginning students who are interested in jewelry and want to experience making a pendant. Demonstrations of sawing, texturing, riveting, and clasp-making and assistance from the instructor will give students the confidence and skills they need to make a pendant from start to finish. A presentation of historical and contemporary jewelry will help guide and inspire the students through their design process and show the depth and breadth of work being created in the field today. This is a great chance to get a taste of jewelry making and be introduced to our studio. Everyone leaves the workshop with their handmade pendant which they can wear with pride. No experience necessary and all materials and lunch provided.

Cloisonné Enameling | Shana Kroiz | Monday-Friday | 9:30-4 pm | August 11-15
PLUS free weekend workdays: August 16-17
This 5 day workshop will be a comprehensive study of the applications of cloisonné enameling. Students will explore creative designing in two dimensions by utilizing historic and modern references. The course will include the use of transparent and opaque enamels, as well as the use of blending, foils, and pigments. Students will leave the workshop with several finished cloisonné enamels and a thorough understanding of this timeless technique. No experience necessary.
$400 + $50 materials fee
